In contrast, British Columbia ranks ninth on the list, with residents working an average of 35.08 hours per week across all occupations.

This places British Columbians towards the lower end of the spectrum in terms of weekly work hours compared to other provinces.

The study highlights that the most overworked occupation sector in British Columbia is natural resources, agriculture, and related occupations (except management), with employees in this sector averaging 39.40 hours per week.

The findings underscore significant regional differences in work hours within Canada, influenced by varying economic activities and sectoral demands.

While provinces like Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick exhibit higher average work hours, British Columbia stands out with relatively lower weekly workloads.
