6 gorgeous Vancouver Island lakes you can swim in safely this summer

With all of the different beach advisories (but no shortage of summer weather), we wanted to make your next dunk in the lake an easy choice!

We’ve compiled a quick list of some of the most gorgeous and easily accessible lakes for you and your family and pets to enjoy.

Some of them are outside of Victoria and will require a little bit of a drive, so if you’re up for the little road trips, it could be the perfect spot for you.

So make yourself a picnic, gather a group of loved ones, pack your sunscreen and away you go!

Alright, less talk, more swim—here are 6 lakes without water advisories on Vancouver Island to sink into this summer:

Matheson Lake

Durrance Lake
