With all of the different beach advisories (but no shortage of summer weather), we wanted to make your next dunk in the lake an easy choice!
We’ve compiled a quick list of some of the most gorgeous and easily accessible lakes for you and your family and pets to enjoy.
Some of them are outside of Victoria and will require a little bit of a drive, so if you’re up for the little road trips, it could be the perfect spot for you.
So make yourself a picnic, gather a group of loved ones, pack your sunscreen and away you go!

Matheson Lake

- Where: Matheson Lake Park Road in Metchosin
Durrance Lake

- Where: Durrance Road
Langford Lake

- Where: 3018 Trillium Road, Langford
Lake Cowichan

- Where: Lake Cowichan, multiple beach access points
Shawnigan Lake

- Shawnigan Lake Park, West Shawnigan Lake Road
Eagle Lake Park

- Where: Small beach area at Eagle Lake Park, Highlands (bit outside out Victoria)
