Port Hardy RCMP have seized a substantial amount of illicit drugs and cash following a targeted investigation last week.
The operation unfolded on June 20th, when Port Hardy RCMP officers apprehended two individuals during a drug trafficking stop near Granville Street and Highway 19.
Evidence gathered from their vehicle prompted police to execute a search warrant at a residence located in the 4000 block of Byng Road later that day.
The thorough search of the premises uncovered approximately 1.3 kilograms of drugs and more than $20,000 in cash.
“The Port Hardy RCMP detachment remains focused on targeting and disrupting illicit drug trafficking in our community,” said acting Detachment Commander, Sergeant Trevor Busch.
Recommended charges against the suspects are still pending.
