We’ve nearly reached the long weekend, Victoria!

Plus, today marks the start of one of the most popular festivals on the island—Laketown Shakedown!

Laketown Shakedown

Don’t miss one of the hottest festivals of the season—a three day party with plenty of stellar artists located in Cowichan!

Highlights for kickoff night on Friday include Jesse Roper, Darrian Gerard, Bankes Brothers, Trophy Dad and much more.

Ticket prices depend on what kind of weekend you’re looking for! You can purchase a weekend pass or individual days, and if you wish to stay on the grounds and camp, there are options for that as well.

Present Laughter: Langham Court Theatre

Head over to the Langham Court Theatre for a lighthearted performance that celebrates playwright Noel Coward!

The story follows Garry Essendine, a star in London’s theatrical scene who is at the height of his fame. Attendees will witness him navigate the troubles and triumphs that come with public attention while also trying to juggle everyday woes.

Tickets start at $19 and can be purchased here.

Pasties and Pints

West Coast Burlesque and Victoria Burlesque is taking over Herald Street Brew Works for an evening of seduction, thrills, and (of course) fantastic beer!

Get up close and personal in this casual setting and bring your best energy to cheer on the performers.

Online tickets for this event are sold out, but if you’re okay with seating that has a somewhat obstructive view, they’re selling $10 tickets for mezzanine seating!

Strath Laughs: Pride Edition

Happy Pride Month!

To celebrate, Amps 2-11 Productions is putting on a special Pride edition of their new Strath Laughs night—featuring Kaylee Cavanagh, John St. Goddard, Julya Van Der Sloot, Ciaran Volke, and headliner is Zane Oak.

Join your host, J. McLaughlin in welcoming these performers and sharing a night of laughter!

TD Victoria International JazzFest

Don’t forget about the TD Victoria International JazzFest—the longest running multi-day music festival on Vancouver Island!

It kicked off on Friday, June 21st and will run until Sunday, June 30th, so get ready for a number of performances from high-caliber artists.

Not only will there be a number of unbelievably talented headliners performing in popular venues across Victoria, there will also be several free shows, workshops and pop-ups happening too.

Friday’s highlights include Sunny Jain’s Wild Wild East, Hilario Duran Trio and more!
