Get ready, Tridents!

Pacific FC is gearing up to host the Vancouver Whitecaps in the semi-finals of the Canadian Championship, marking an exciting home-and-home series for the coveted Voyageurs’ Cup.

This comes after Pacific FC’s 2-1 triumphant victory over Atlético Ottawa, another team in the Canadian Premier League (CPL), securing their place in the final four.

The draw for the semi-finals was held last week, revealing that Pacific FC will face off against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

The first leg of the match will take place at Starlight Stadium in Langford during the week of July 9, with the exact date yet to be announced. The second leg is scheduled for late August at BC Place in Vancouver, with a tentative date of August 28th.

Pacific FC fans are buzzing with anticipation, especially considering the team’s memorable victory over the Whitecaps in 2021.

The semi-final clash promises to be a thrilling encounter.

The Vancouver Whitecaps are the back-to-back champions of the Canadian Championship, having lifted the trophy in 2022 and 2023. On the other hand, Pacific FC, known for their tenacity and skill, will be eager to challenge the reigning champions and advance to the finals.

In addition to Pacific FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps, the other semi-final will feature Hamilton’s Forge FC against Toronto FC. Forge FC will host the first leg, while Toronto FC will host the second leg at BMO Field.

Adding significance to this match-up, the winner of the first semi-final between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Pacific FC will host the 2024 final, which is a single match.

Tickets for these matches are expected to sell out quickly.
