Joint Author Event and Signing at Bolen Books
Join the team at Bolen Books in celebrating the launch of NoMeansNo from Obscurity to Oblivion by local favourite, Jason Lamb, alongside the co-authors of Mud Ride: A Messy Trip through the Grunge Explosion, Steven Turner and Adem Tepedelen.
This joint event will include a Q&A moderated by Lamb with Turner, Tepedelen, and John Wright.
There is no cost to attend the event, but you do have to RSVP! You can do so here.

OUTstages: A Decidedly Queer Theatre Festival
Theatre lovers, drama addicts, and adrenaline cravers, pay attention!
Intrepid Theatre is thrilled to present their 10th annual OUTstages: a decidedly queer theatre festival—it kicked off on January 31st and runs until February 11th.
This huge 10th-year celebration will bring dazzling queer performances and adventurous programming to Victoria with a 12-day run of eclectic and electric shows by queer artists from both Vancouver Island and other areas of Canada!
Tuesday’s performance includes YOU AND I ≠ WE, an experimental show where performers Maiden China and SKIM explore the weight of representation, the complexities and intersections of gender, race, and sexuality, and what it means to be in their bodies in public and private spheres.
General admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.

Shackleton – Greatest Story of Survival: IMAX
Use the chill outside as an excuse to cozy up for an incredible film, Shackleton – Greatest Story of Survival, in IMAX!
In 1913 Sir Ernest Shackleton set sail with 27 men to attempt to cross the frozen continent of Antarctica on foot. His vessel became trapped in sea ice. After nearly a year locked in the ice, the ship was crushed, forcing the crew into a desperate battle to survive and find their way back to civilization.
Join explorer Tim Jarvis on this incredible experience, reliving Shackleton’s harrowing journey while crossing the perilous landscapes of the great Antarctica and South Georgia.

Grab a Beer at Category 12 Brewing
If you feel like a wee adventure, Category 12 Brewing offers an incredible lineup of featured concoctions as well as permanent favourites!
So, no matter how often you want to go, there will always be something new to try—taste their Acai Blueberry Sour or their Fuzzy Peach Hazy IPA, for example.
Heck, get yourself a flight and try them all!

Victoria Film Festival
Every year, the VFF celebrates cinema’s finest—showcasing acclaimed works and offering local audiences a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the big screen.
This year’s festival kicked off on February 2nd and will run until February 11th, with plenty of amazing films to catch over the weekend.
