Happy Monday, Victoria!

Now that you’ve had a wonderful weekend to relax and (hopefully) check out some of the incredible weekend activities, it’s time to dive into the week. 

To start your Monday off right, enjoy a relaxed evening cheering on local artists at an open mic night, check out Campy Hour at the Vicious Poodle for OUTstages, or catch a film for the Victoria Film Festival.

Additionally, 90s Night at Lucky Bar is always a hit, as is Music Bingo at Maude Hunter’s Pub.

OUTstages: A Decidedly Queer Theatre Festival

Theatre lovers, drama addicts, and adrenaline cravers, pay attention!

Intrepid Theatre is thrilled to present their 10th annual OUTstages: a decidedly queer theatre festival—it kicked off on January 31st and runs until February 11th.

This huge 10th-year celebration will bring dazzling queer performances and adventurous programming to Victoria with a 12-day run of eclectic and electric shows by queer artists from both Vancouver Island and other areas of Canada!

Monday’s performance will feature a mid-festival blend of happy hour and campy drag—Campy Hour at the Vicious Poodle!

Appearances from the lovely Vivian Vanderpuss, Eddi Licious, Woofie can be expected, and there’s no cover charge for this wonderful event.

Victoria Film Festival

Every year, the VFF celebrates cinema’s finest—showcasing acclaimed works and offering local audiences a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the big screen.

This year’s festival kicked off on February 2nd and will run until February 11th, with plenty of amazing films to catch over the weekend.

Screenings for this Monday include Evil Does Not Exist, Cannes Uncut, La Chimera, Stolen, and more! To view their full schedule and locations, visit their website.

Note that you have to purchase a $2 membership fee to attend the movies.

Open Mic Night at Gigi’s Cafe

If you’re ready to show your talent to an encouraging and enthusiastic audience, Gigi’s may just be the place for you!

They offer acoustic open mic nights on Mondays and would love to have you—bring your own instrument or borrow their acoustic guitar or keyboard.

Prepare two to three songs and present your skills! Sign up starts at 6 p.m. This event is free to attend.

Music Bingo at Maude Hunter’s Pub

Put your musical knowledge to the test at Maude Hunter’s weekly music bingo nights.

Bring your pals and get ready to dance and sing as you play along to win prizes—treat yourself to some of Maude’s delicious beer-battered fries and beer on tap too!

Bingo starts at 8 p.m. but make sure to come early—especially if you have a larger table, otherwise you’ll have to come back next week! No fee to play.

90s Night at Lucky Bar

Dance with all of your friends, scream along to your favourite songs, and perhaps make some new friends at the iconic Lucky Bar 90s Night!
