A stretch of Oak Bay Avenue will be closed this week to facilitate emergency sewer repairs.
The temporary closure, spanning between Mitchell Street and Foul Bay Road, is scheduled to commence today on Monday, October 16th, with an estimated duration of up to four days.
During the repair , Oak Bay Avenue will be inaccessible to vehicular traffic between Foul Bay Road and the entrance to the parking lot at 2014 Oak Bay Avenue.
To manage traffic during the closure, barricades will be positioned at Oak Bay Avenue’s intersections with Foul Bay Road and the western entrance to the 2014 Oak Bay Avenue parking lot.
Motorists are encouraged to use detours via Mitchell and Elgin roads.
The District of Oak Bay has assured residents that every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience caused by this necessary repair work
