We have a diverse set of events for you to choose from and they range in energy expectations, vibe, and cost.

You’ve got the classic live music events stacked with markets, food trucks, and kids activities, as well as some one-of-a-kind events like Japan Fest, and the sensual world that Luminesque Dance has created for audiences.

Here are 11 things to do in and around Victoria on Saturday, July 22nd and Sunday, July 23rd:

Entwined 2023

This will mark Langford’s first ever Fibre Arts Market!

This event is described as the bringing together of a diverse community of talented fibre artists, artisans, and vendors from all corners of the fibre arts world.

You’ll find a wide variety of knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, and more — in fact, over 25 vendors will be present, full to the brim with exceptional creations!

There will also be food trucks and live music for your enjoyment.

Japan Fest

Taking over the courtyard at the Broadmead Village Shopping Centre this Saturday will be the 4th Japan Fest, organized by the Victoria Nikkei Cultural Society (VNCS)!

It will take place in front of the FUDO restaurant and will feature enthralling cultural performances, delicious Japanese food, and tons of Japanese knick-knacks up for grabs.

All proceeds from food, Japanese collectibles, and raffle money will go towards the programs offered through VNCS so they can continue to host cultural programs such as language lessons, the folk dancing group, and a grant program.

Vic West Fest

Live music, food trucks, vendors, a dog show, a kids area, and more — the perfect combination of activities and entertainment for a fun Saturday!

The artists performing include the Sofia Sol Trio, Ranger, Sharon, and more.

They encourage everyone to bring a food donation to the Garden Collective booth and enter to win a prize!

You can also enter you and your dog in the dog show for another chance to win a prize.

Jaguars On The Island 2023

Celebrate with the hosts, The Jaguar Car Club of Victoria, for their 18th year running — they’ve grown into the largest Jaguar show in North America!

Do yourself a favour and browse these drool-worthy cars — a warning though, you may want to purchase your very own afterwards.

While the event kicked off on Friday, July 21st, the main event will be held at Windsor Park, Oak Bay on Saturday 22 July between 9:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m.

All Jaguars are welcomed! Our featured models for this year are F-Pace and F-Type.

Epic Theatre Goods Sale

Epic Theatre is getting rid of all of their equipment and you will have the chance to get your hands on as much as you can carry!

Market Square Fest

All-day entertainment for all ages — this free community event at Market Square will be one for the memory books.

Included in this marvelous event will be a photo booth, art activities, face painting, balloon twisting, a silent disco, Drag StoryTime, Donald Dunphy’s Magic Show, and more!

On top of it all, there will also be a series of live music!

Flamenco Festival

The passionate and mesmerizing world of southern Spain is coming to Victoria this weekend for the 11th Annual Victoria Flamenco Festival!

Presented by the Flamenco de la Isla Society, this festival kicks off on Saturday, July 22nd at Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park and runs until July 29th.

There’s a selection of both free and ticketed events for your enjoyment — pick and choose what’s calling to you!

WILD THING at Capital Ballroom

Presented to you by Luminesque Dance, you’re in for an unforgettable evening of dance, pole performances, aerial arts, spoken word, and exquisite audiovisuals in an original reimagining of the timeless tale “Where the Wild Things Are.”

They invite you to “forget the daily grind and get lost in a sensual, vivid and surreal fantasy where all are welcome and nothing is forbidden!”

Ticket prices vary depending on the package you wish to purchase.

There are VIP Table tickets for $200 and general admission ranges between $30 to $50.

Oak Bay Car Festival

Check out the 23rd annual premier collector car festival in Oak Bay!

There will be over 300 cars of all types, vintages, and conditions — stop and chat with the car owners for details and their stories.

Sure to create an unforgettable afternoon, everyone is welcome to come and browse the vehicles while also enjoying the open shops and food trucks nearby!

Victorian Garden Party

Step through the gates at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum into a charming Victorian garden and walk through a unique piece of local history.

For $5, you can enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of traditional pound cake while listening to award winning fiddlers on the lawn.

Admittance to the grounds and house tours are free, it is only the refreshments that have a small cost.

The Ross Bay Villa Society will be accepting donations and all proceeds go towards the restoration and maintenance of this beautiful 1865 Victorian home.
