Someone in Nanaimo won $5 million in Lotto 6/49 draw

One Vancouver Islander may be in for some great news today.

According to the BC Lottery Corporation, a Lotto 6/49 ticket purchased in Nanaimo has matched all six numbers in the Wednesday, August 21st draw, meaning that the owner of this ticket has won a hefty $5 million.

BCLC says it will reveal the specific location that the ticket was purchased at after the winner visits one of their designated prize claim locations.

All lottery winners have up to 52 weeks to come forward and claim their prize.

Players in BC have won over $61 million in prize winning Lotto 6/49 tickets thus far in 2019.
