A man found dead on Mt Washington on Monday morning has been identified as 27-year-old Stewart Elhorn.

Elhorn, who died in a snowboarding accident, was a logger from Campbell River. He leaves behind his fiance and a 4-year-old son.

Elhorn’s aunt, Krista Brown, set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for Elhorn’s family. As of Wednesday afternoon, the campaign had raised over $4,000 of its $10,000 goal.

“Stewart was an experienced logger and sole provider for the family,” Brown wrote on GoFundMe. “We the family [sic] thank everyone for the amazing support we have received during this difficult time.”
