It’s not a trick, and definitely not a treat… gas prices in Victoria have jumped approximately 10 cents per litre.
According to website Victoriagasprices.com, prices now range from $1.28.9 per litre of regular grade gas at Costco in Langford to $1.37.9 at most stations.
Just a week ago, prices were steady around $1.26 per litre.
No Simple Answer

Plenty of factors weigh into gas price fluctuation, with no simple answer for each individual rise. However, according to Dan McTeague, a senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.com, the high prices could last for at least two weeks.
Contributing factors appear to include the shut down of a major pipeline that delivers gas from Gulf Coast refineries to the US mid-west for maintenance, as well as an increase in global oil prices.
