A scooter driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries in an accident at the intersection of Douglas and Fort Streets around noon Monday.
The intersection was shut down while crash investigators collected evidence.
According to witnesses, a black Mercedes on Douglas Street appeared to be making a left-hand turn onto Fort Street when it hit the scooter.
The scooter driver, believed to be in his 60s, was transported to hospital.
Bystanders in the area jumped into action and assisted the man until emergency officials arrived.
The intersection was closed for about an hour.
