Dashboard cam captures dramatic head-on crash on Pat Bay Highway

A dramatic head-on crash on the Pat Bay Highway last week was captured on dash cam video.

Eric who was a few vehicles back of the crash, captured the moment when a southbound Ford Focus crossed over the center median, colliding head-on with a northbound SUV.

Police say a 40-year-old man from Parksville, suffered a medical emergency, causing him to lose control.

Both drivers were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Saanich Police said they were unaware of the video until CHEK News brought it to their attention, and say the video will help in their investigation.
