Seanna Wainman – Managing Editor (on maternity leave!)
“Beloved Buzz readers, If you’ve ever read an article marked ‘Branded Content’, perused a story on the Victoria Royals, or played the Buzzle or our daily word scramble, you might know who I am.
For nearly 7 years, I’ve written every Branded article, and covered sports, lifestyle and news on the Victoria Buzz website.
For the majority of that time, I’ve also served as our Managing Editor, touching almost every story we’ve published in some way.
Today, November 14th, 2025, I embark on a different kind of journey—I will be heading off on maternity leave as I am expecting a baby girl in December!
Although I’ll be trading breaking news for bottles and late-night stories for snuggle sessions, Victoria Buzz will never be too far away.
It’s been an honour to be a part of our incredible little outlet for the past 6+ years, and I promise this isn’t goodbye—just “see ya later!”.”

Seanna joined Victoria Buzz in 2018 and holds a degree from BCIT in broadcast journalism. Her childhood days of reading the dictionary for fun have finally paid off, and she’s now living out her dreams of being a full-time writer.
An avid sports fan since childhood, Seanna also works as the Colour Commentator for the Victoria Royals, doing one of her favourite things in the world—talking about hockey. Outside of work, she’s a mom of three girls and collects tattoos for fun. You can reach Seanna at seanna@victoriabuzz.com.
Curtis Blandy – Senior Writer/Reporter
Curtis has worked with Victoria Buzz since September 2022. Previously, he was an on air host at The Zone @ 91-3 as well as 100.3 The Q in Victoria, BC. Curtis is a graduate from NAIT’s radio and television broadcasting program in Edmonton, Alta. He thrives in covering stories on local and provincial politics as well as the Victoria music scene.
