Clear your schedule, Victoria—the best live act in Scotland is coming to town!
Skerryvore’s North American tour includes only two shows in BC, and they’ll be hitting the McPherson Playhouse on Tuesday, October 6th at 7:30 p.m. for a show that is going to be one for the ages.
Skerryvore is one of Scotland’s leading forces in the country’s music scene, winning Scotland’s ‘Live Act of the Year 2025’ and making the group four-time winners of the award.
With a mix of bagpipes, fiddles, accordions, and whistles, alongside guitar and vocals, driving bass, drums, and keys, the band represents a reinvention of Scottish traditional music.
Skerryvore’s BC concerts are presented by CeltFest Vancouver Island.
With three singles from their 2023 album Tempus hitting the BBC Radio 2 new music playlist, and the album going number one in both the Official Scottish Album and UK Folk Albums charts, Skerryvore is as ready as ever to bring down the house in Victoria.
And the band has a history in the region—on that number one Tempus album, the song “Vancouver Island” released just after their last west coast visit, indicating the strong connection the band has to where Victorians call home. Audiences will hear some pieces from Beautiful Mistakes, their new album to be released in November.
This show is going to be one you don’t want to miss.
Tickets for the show start at $67 and can be purchased here. Or keep an eye out on the Victoria Buzz Facebook group for a chance to win a pair of tickets for free!
