Langford’s Pacific FC announced today that it will be making some coaching changes.

The club announced that they will be “mutually parting ways” with their head coach James Merriman.

The decision follows a challenging start to this season, with the club sitting at zero wins and five losses, with one draw to the Halifax Wanderers on April 18th.

They are currently last in the Canadian Premier League (CPL) standings.

The team’s woes extend past this season’s difficult beginning, with the club remaining winless over their last 17 contests between this season and last.

This streak includes 11 losses and six draws, with their last win taking place on August 10th, 2025.

“The club thanks James for his dedication and the many years of service he gave to Pacific FC and wishes him well in his future endeavors,” the team’s release said.

Merriman first joined the club in 2022, and has coached the team in 140 total matches, including 46 wins, 66 losses and 33 draws.
