Spring 2026 Oak Bay Arts Weekend
Immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration of creativity during Oak Bay Arts Weekend!
Connect personally with local creators, discover new favourites and purchase one-of-a-kind artworks, plus chat with the artists behind the work while enjoying a cocktail on Friday evening.
On Saturday, meet local artists working in ceramics, acrylics, oils, watercolosur, printmaking, weaving and photography displaying in the Monterey Recreation Centre.
Then, Saturday and Sunday afternoon, attendees can take a tour of Oak Bay, visiting artists in their studios to learn about their artistic processes.

Friday Night Skate
Grab your rollerskates and head to GR Pearkes Recreation Center for their Friday Night Skate hosted by Marty’s Roller Parties!

Don’t miss this free, monthly drop-in board game night!

The Crowd Work Show
OK, DOPE is proud to present The Crowd Work Show with Nash Park and Alex Forman, a 100% improvised stand-up comedy show at the Mint!
Alex and Nash will be taking the stage at the same time with absolutely zero material prepared.
Armed only with a microphone and their wits the two will have to find the funny by talking to the crowd and navigating their surroundings.

Kidovate Market 2026
Get ready to support local kids, Victoria!
Canada’s largest youth entrepreneurship market is returning to the Bay Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11th.
Kidovate Victoria 2026 is a fun, free youth entrepreneurship initiative from UVic’s Gustavson School of Business, encouraging local children to develop products and services to sell on Kidovate Market Day.
With over 200 young vendors, three floors of booths and free entry, this is one event you won’t want to miss. Head to the Bay Centre this Saturday, April 11th and see it for yourself—free smiles (and even the first hour of parking) included.

Go celebrate spring at Swan Lake’s Craft Fair, featuring handcrafted goods by the Silver Swans!
On April 11th and 12th, browse linens, table décor, quilts, nature-themed ornaments and unique gifts for Mother’s Day and beyond.
They will also be offering the Nature Sanctuary’s collection of native plant seeds with 100% of the proceeds supporting the Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary and urban nature conservation.

Historic House Tour
Journey back in time at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum, a volunteer-run and owned museum and restoration project located in Fairfield.
On Saturdays at 2 p.m., walk down the path past heritage apple trees and beautiful gardens, and step into one of only a few 1860s houses still standing in Victoria.
From the bright and airy drawing room to the charming children’s bedroom, the house has been restored with extraordinary care to appear as it did when the Roscoe family called it home.
Experience a unique piece of Victoria’s past with a knowledgeable volunteer as your guide—tickets are $7.50 and can be purchased in advance here.

Plant Pot – Beginner Friendly Class
This is a relaxed, two-hour hands-on experience where you’ll leave with something unique and entirely your own.
Craft a home for your plant companion in this beginner-friendly class that uses approachable hand-building techniques, allowing you to shape a planter that is entirely your own.
After your workshop, return for a glazing session (included in cost). From there, your finished piece will be ready in two to three weeks.

The Australian Bees Gees Show
It’s Saturday Night Fever every night with this Australian Bee Gees Show, a tribute to the iconic Bees Gees.

Paint in Paradise at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens
Paint in Paradise is an intimate, guided art experience hosted at Victoria Butterfly Gardens.
Led by local painter Leah Patterson, this hands-on workshop invites participants to immerse themselves in the vibrant sights and colours of the tropical conservatory before creating their own nature-inspired artwork.
Guests will begin by exploring the gardens to observe butterflies, lush foliage and tropical blooms before settling into the Atrium (outside the gardens) to begin the class.

The Beautiful Maladies at Hermann’s Jazz Club
