Victoria Queer+ Papapalooza
We are hosting a Queer+ Papapalooza here in Victoria at the Vancouver Island Choices Clinic on May 2nd, 2026!
Cervical cancer is highly preventable, and BC offers patients two options for screening: HPV swabs and Pap tests. HPV swabs are great – they’re highly sensitive, can be self-collected by patients, and a kit can be ordered to your home through BC Cancer. If a HPV strain is found, a pap test might be necessary. Some people may also continue to prefer seeing a doctor to receive pap tests.
Our goal is to keep reducing barriers to this important preventative care for cis women, trans men, gender diverse, Two Spirit, and non-binary people. The providers at the VICC are trained in trauma-informed and gender-inclusive care. Our event provides a safe, supportive, and welcoming opportunity for anyone with a cervix to access pap tests (+ STI testing), if interested. Sign up with the link and we will call you to schedule an appointment!
