UPDATE: RCMP have cleared the 500-block of Goldstream Avenue following a police incident Sunday.

West Shore RCMP responded to an incident near the 500 block of Goldstream Avenue in Langford on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, officers were called to the area at approximately 2:20 p.m. on March 1st.
Upon arrival, police set up containment around a residence nearby and secured the surrounding area as a precaution.
RCMP say officers remain on scene as they continue their investigation and are asking members of the public to avoid the area.
Residents are also being asked not to approach or engage with officers while they work to secure the scene.
Police say that because the area is contained, they do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public at this time.
There is no estimated timeline for when the area will be cleared.
West Shore RCMP say they expect to provide an update on March 2nd.
