Saanich Police are asking for the public’s help after a 14-year-old boy was violently assaulted and robbed in broad daylight last month.
According to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers, the incident happened around 3:20 p.m. on December 1st, in the 1000 block of McKenzie Avenue.
Investigators say the teen was attacked from behind while in the area. He was knocked to the ground and punched in the head several times before his cellphone was stolen.




The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle that had been waiting nearby.
Police believe the getaway vehicle was an older-style black Mercedes. Two suspects are being sought in connection with the robbery.
The primary suspect is described as a white man about 30-years-old, roughly 5’10” tall, who was wearing a dark jacket and sweatpants at the time.
A second suspect, described as a woman wearing dark clothing, is also being sought.
Police say the quality of available images is poor but are releasing the information in hopes someone may recognize the suspects or the vehicle involved.
