Happy first weekend of 2026, Victoria!
The holiday haze may be lifting, but there’s still lots to do around the city as we ease into the new year.
From championship curling and Royals hockey to drag shows, live jazz, and community gatherings, these events are the perfect way to start 2026 strong.

2026 BC Men’s, Women’s & U20 Curling Championships

The semi-finals and finals for the 2026 BC Men’s, Women’s & U20 Curling Championships, presented by Best Western take place this weekend at the Archie Browning Sports Centre.
Weekend single draw tickets are $20 and weekend passes are $60—get your tickets here!

Victoria Royals vs Tri-City Americans
It’s game time!
Head to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre this weekend to watch the Victoria Royals take on the Tri-City Americans in back-to-back games.
Saturday’s game is Eco Night presented by the Victoria EV Association. Fans can explore renewable-energy activations on the concourse.
Sunday’s game is Family Funday. Marty will be joined by Rooty and the A&W team for in-game giveaways, along with a special Face-Off 4 Pack offering four tickets, four hot dogs, one popcorn and two A&W kids meals for $99.
A Kids Sunday Funday BOGO is also available, offering a free kids ticket with the purchase of an adult Club ticket.
Fans are invited to stay after Sunday’s game for a post-game skate with the players. Skate rentals will be available, and guests may bring their own skates.

A Swinging Night of Jazz at Hermann’s Jazz Club
Come join Stella White for a swinging night of vocal jazz!
Stella White is an 18-year-old vocalist who is a winner of the DownBeat Music Award, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Jazz Performance at McGill University.
She’s returning to Vancouver Island for the holidays and is so excited to return to this amazing collaboration with Ashley Wey and other fantastic Victoria musicians.
