Pizzeria Prima Strada have announced the closure of their location on the corner of Fort Street and Foul Bay Road.

The last day of service at this location will be this Sunday, December 7th.

“More than 10 years ago, we opened our doors at the corner of Fort and Foul Bay, becoming a part of the Jubilee and Oak Bay neighborhoods,” wrote Prima Strada’s management in a social media post announcing the closure.

“It’s been an eventful time, the world has changed and so have we! We’re exited [sic] for what’s next.”

Prima Strada continued by expressing appreciation for all their Fort Street customers throughout the last decade.

Although the Fort Street location is closing, Prima Strada noted that their Cook Street location will not be impacted and will continue to be open seven days a week.

“Come see us at Fort this week and after, when you’re craving a Prima Strada pizza, come to the Cook St pizzeria,” the pizzeria added.

In the conclusion to their post, Prima Strada mentioned that despite the closure, they have some good news coming in the new year, but did not clarify if that means a new location elsewhere in Victoria.

Pizzeria Prima Strada’s pizza has won numerous awards, both locally and internationally.

In 2024, their pizza made a list of the top 50 pizzas in the world, as declared by an Italy-based network who have been highlighting the world’s best pizzerias since 2017.
