Victoria’s favourite holiday musical tradition is back!
Experience the warmth, laughter, and timeless Christmas spirit of Daniel Lapp’s 22nd annual Home for Christmas concert, happening December 17th and 18th at the Royal Theatre.
Presented by the Victoria Conservatory of Music, this festive folk extravaganza led by the renowned local musician and teacher is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays through the joy of music with family and friends.
More than 180 performers, ranging from six to 86 years old, will take the stage as Lapp leads a 90-minute showcase full of holiday favourites and lively folk arrangements.
You’ll see young fiddlers from the BC Fiddle Orchestra and Folkestra!, along with spirited performances from the Joy of Life Choir, Shiny H’ornaments, Swing’n Shepherds, and the Strings of Lights house band.
This year’s special guests include versatile soprano Cathy Fern Lewis and a boundary-pushing folk trio featuringDaniel Lapp, Adam Dobres, and Adrian Dolan.
These performances aren’t just a concert—they’re a celebration of community, accessibility, and joy of music across generations!
All proceeds from Home for Christmas go towards supporting the musical programs at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, ensuring their services are accessible to all musicians.
