It’s a Christmas miracle!
The Butchart Gardens is bringing back its beloved outdoor skating rink during their Magic of Christmas kickoff on Monday, December 1st.
For many Victorians, lacing up skates beneath the glowing lights at The Butchart Gardens has long been a cherished holiday tradition.
But the rink’s closure in 2019 means it’s been over five years since visitors have been able to enjoy this seasonal favourite.
After hearing how meaningful it is to the community, the Gardens is thrilled to bring it back this year!
From December 1st to January 6th, you can once again skate with your family and friends in a holiday atmosphere unlike anywhere else.
After your skate, warm up by the fire in the Coffee Shop with a cup of hot chocolate or another speciality drink.
Or, explore the millions of lights illuminating the Gardens, hop on a festive carousel ride, and enjoy the classic carols playing throughout the season.
It’s the perfect addition to your Christmas bucket list!
Skating must be booked in person at the Information Centre! Sessions run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and skate rentals are available.
Session times depend on weather conditions and availability.
