Planning a staycation and looking for an epic place to stay?
Tofino’s Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge has been named one of Canada and the United State’s best hotels by travel company, Fodor’s.
It was one of 21 hotels named, and shared the list with fellow Canadian icon, the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City.
The luxury resort sits a 35-minute idyllic boat ride from Tofino, offering a “high-end spin on glamping.”
This peaceful remote atmosphere allows visitors to connect with nature while enjoying first-class amenities.
You can choose from five safari-style tents, from the Waterfront Deluxe to the Rainforest Ensuite, all with incredible views of the ocean, forest, and mountains.
Those who stay at this unforgettable hidden oasis have access to their Healing Grounds Spa and their rotating menu of contemporary cuisine made from ingredients sourced right here on Vancouver Island and across British Columbia.
Not only is the food mostly sustainably sourced, but the restaurant earned Three Michelin Keys in 2024, the highest distinction in the Michelin Guide.
Last month, Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge was named Canada’s Leading Wilderness Resort for the year.
The resort is open seasonally from May to September, with prices ranging from $3,200 to $6,400 per night, depending on the month.
“For an escape that feels worlds away, check into Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge,” said Fodor’s in their article.
If luxury west coast glamping is on your bucket list, Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge just made it to the top!
This list is part of Fodor’s 2026 Finest Hotel Awards, which highlights the best hotels from around the world.
