Happy rainy first weekend of November, Victoria!

Though Halloween has come on gone, there are still a few spooky events that will trickle on throughout the weekend, PLUS—a few ways to get rid of those leftover jack-o-lanterns!

Enjoy this round-up of an array of different events to tickle your fancy—everything from raves to Rocky Horror.

Without further ado, here are 14 things to do in and around Victoria this weekend—November 1st and 2nd:

Charity Pumpkin Smash at Westshore Town Centre

Don’t throw away those leftover jack-o-lanterns!

This Saturday, November 1st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Westshore Town Centre and Langford Fire Rescue invite you to their annual Charity Pumpkin Smash—a family-friendly, free event full of festive excitement—because the fun doesn’t stop on Halloween.

Bring your leftover jack-o-lanterns and a cash donation to the Westshore Town Centre Cineplex parking lot, and watch as Langford Fire Rescue smashes them to bits by dropping them from their towering 100-foot fire engine ladder.

Witches Nite In Halloween Market & All Hallows Fair

Spooktacular market, psychic readings, witchy swag bags for first 30 lucky souls each day and treats for goblins!

Witchy and other costume attire is a MUST!

Victoria Royals vs. Penticton Vees – Anime Night

Saturday’s game marks the first-ever Anime Night at SOFMC, encouraging fans to come dressed in their best anime attire.

Puck drop for this game is at 6:05 p.m., when the Royals will take on the visiting Penticton Vees.

Best dressed could score you chance to win day passes to FanExpo Vancouver in February!

Gorge Park Pumpkin Parade

Keep the Halloween spirit going in the neighbourhood with a community pumpkin parade!

Bring your carved Jack-O’-Lanterns down to Gorge Park between 3-5pm on November 1st, then return from 6-7:30 pm to see them all lit up together as you take a spooky stroll!

There is no limit to the number of pumpkins you can bring down – the more, the merrier!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Vic Theatre

Join The Vic Theatre for the first – and still the greatest – interactive movie experience: The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Enjoy the catchy songs, crazy costumes, and audience participation as fiancés Brad and Janet stumble into Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s strange world. There will be prop bags for sale and a costume contest!

If it’s your first time, have no fear! The great host Gordon to guide you through the “Time Warp” and the rest of this unique event.

Victoria Royals vs. Penticton Vees – Anime Night

On Sunday, Kids Takeover Night is back!

Puck drop for Sunday’s matinee game is at 2:05 p.m., and kids will be taking over the roles of the Royals’ game day staff.

Sunday also marks the launch of the Kids “Sunday Funday” promo, where kids will receive a popcorn voucher with their ticket—this promotion will run every Sunday game and is available for purchase here!

Tillicum Pumpkin Smash Bash

Join Tillicum on Sunday, November 2nd from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for their Pumpkin Smash Bash!

With help from firefighters you’ll get the chance to see your pumpkin dropped from 100 feet up.

This event will take place in the Old Navy parking lot, and all pumpkin drops are by donation.

There will be tasty eats from The Hot Dog Guys, plus music and fun with DJ PTK!
