Bring your appetite, Victoria!
The 24th annual celebration of Greek culture, food and performance return to the city next Friday, and will feature two whole weekends of entertainment.
This year, GreekFest spans both Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 4th as well as Friday, August 29th to Monday, September 1st.
It will take place outdoors next to the Greek Orthodox Church and Community Centre. The museum will remain open during festival hours for those who want to take a peek inside!
Not only will there be heaps of mouthwatering Greek cuisine, but also an array of vibrant dances, and cultural performances.
Performances will come from over 20 dance and music groups, with some from as far away as Athens, Greece!
Sample traditional Greek dishes such as lamb on the spit, souvlaki, spanakopita, loukoumades and baklava—all prepared with authenticity and care, allowing attendees to savour the flavours of Greece.
There’s also an option to order online and take your food to go. A minimum spend of $50 is required for online ordering and they’re unable to accommodate allergies at this time.
Admission into the festival is free, but make sure you bring cash if you plan on partaking in the delicious eats on-site.
