Victoria’s first-ever Heart of Gold Gala and Concert is right around the corner, and they’ve announced a star-studded lineup.
Enjoy an evening of luxury in honour of The Simon Keith Foundation, which will take place on Saturday, August 23rd at the Victoria Conference Centre.
According to the organizers, there was an overwhelming amount of demand for the event, and so they’ve released a limited number of additional tickets for the public to snag!
Featured performances include powerful vocalists Vonzell Solomon, Matt Mauser and Pia Toscano—each of them well known for their rich and captivating shows.
They’ll be joined by the high-octane Rhapsody Orchestra, The Scottish Pipers, and The London Essentials, all of which will bring energy and excitement to the venue.
Hosting the night will be the famed Ron MacLean, the iconic voice of Hockey Night in Canada, as well as Jason Pires, who was born in Victoria and is co-anchor of Global News Morning.
Together, these two will take guests on a journey of meaning and heartfelt storytelling with their signature charms.
Not just a fancy event, this gala has a core mission that hits close to home for many people. It’s a fundraiser in support of young organ transplant recipients, aiming to help those impacted return to active lifestyles, and raise awareness for the need for organ donation.
The founder of the foundation, Simon Keith, was a heart transplant recipient, and he emphasized the deeper message behind the evening.
“There’s a common belief that an organ transplant is a cure, a solution that restores life to normal. But really, it’s the beginning of everything,” said Keith.
“Through this event, we stand beside transplant recipients and their families to support their journeys, not just financially, but with mentorship, compassion, and advocacy.”
Tickets are $1,250 for individuals and there are different gala table packages available as well. If you’re unable to attend, people are still welcome to show their support by donating directly to the foundation.
