A young eaglet is back where it belongs after a team effort rescue from the forest floor in Victoria’s Beacon Hill Park.
According to the City of Victoria, the eaglet was found on the ground Friday and safely returned to its nesting tree thanks to a coordinated effort between City parks staff, a local bird expert, and the team at Wild ARC.
While it’s unclear how the eaglet ended up on the ground, the quick response and gentle handling ensured a happy ending to what could have been a tragic fall.
Residents are reminded to keep their distance from wild animals when visiting local parks. Giving space to wildlife helps protect both animals and people, especially during nesting and fledgling seasons.
The City offered a big thank you to everyone involved in reuniting the eaglet with its family—calling it a “high-flying reunion.”
