A woman has been arrested by VicPD for alleged involvement in a drug trafficking investigation.
On June 26th, just before 1:30 p.m., the suspect was located and arrested in the 900-block of Johnson Street after officers executed a search warrant.
During the arrest, officers seized a kilogram of cocaine, a kilogram of methamphetamine, half a kilogram of fentanyl and $7,500 in cash, along with a Ford Mustang EV.
The woman was identified through surveillance and intelligence gathering, and police believe she was involved in trafficking controlled substances throughout the Capital Regional District (CRD).
According to VicPD, the Mustang EV, which was used in the commission of the offence, is now subject to civil forfeiture.
“This seizure sends a clear message that we will continue to target drug trafficking, protect our communities, and hold offenders accountable,” said Deputy Chief Jamie McRae.
“The significant quantity of drugs seized highlights the dangers of this illicit activity and demonstrates our Strike Force unit’s ongoing commitment to disrupting it.”
As the investigation is ongoing, no further details are available at this time.
