Here’s 5 things to do in and around Victoria on Friday, June 27th:

Pacific FC vs. Vancouver FC

Bring your best cheer and loads of team spirit this Saturday as Victoria’s Pacific FC team faces Atlético Ottawa during their Indigenous Peoples Celebration Match.

Treat yourself to some snacks and beverages while you’re there too to make the most of this afternoon game!

And because it’s close to Canada Day, this game will be all about celebrating what makes our country special!

Guests will be treated to pre-match and halftime cultural dance performances, there will be some international cuisine onsite and everyone is encouraged to rock their best Canadian Tuxedo!

Ticket prices vary by seat selection, but they start at around $30 for general admission.

ISSAMBA Centre: AfriCa Fest

The popular AfriCa Fest, presented by the ISSAMBA Centre, is returning for their 12th edition at Centennial Square!

This year’s theme is “Diversity in Rhythm, Culture in Unity,” and celebrates African and Caribbean cultures while honoring the connections that bring us all together.

As always, there will be an incredible array of music, movement and mouthwatering flavours across a variety of food.

Friday night will present attendees with an African Percussion and Drumming workshop, where you can expect a Master percussionist performance, interactive drumming circle, dancing and more.

  • When: Kicked off on Thursday, June 26th and runs until Sunday, June 29th

Opera Quest: JÉHANNE

Don’t miss JÉHANNE by Colin Doroschuk, presented by the Victoria Conservatory of Music at the Alix Goolden Performance Hall!

This new Canadian operatic exploration follows the extraordinary vision quest of the French heroine, Joan of Arc. Featured artists include Kathryn Riopel (soprano), Jessica Lyublinsky (mezzo soprano), and Natalie Vong (mezzo soprano).

It’s a bilingual libretto, and will be in English and in French.

Tickets are $35 for general admission.

Fridays at the Station

The Victoria Beer Society is once again hosting their popular Fridays at the Station event in Langford!

Ring in the weekend at The Langford Station by enjoying live music, a selection of delicious food trucks, browsing local businesses and artist studios, and of course flights of delicious BC craft beer.

The Victoria Beer Society’s Beer Truck will be on site serving cold sleeves and flights of craft beer every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This week will feature the band Capital City Syncopators.

Paint Night at Herald Street Brew Works

The Victoria Girls Club is hosting a beginner-friendly evening of painting, delicious craft beer and connection.

Led by Paint with Kelsie, there’s no experience needed and all of the supplies are included, so you only have to bring yourself and your creative energy!

Tickets are $55 and can be purchased here.
