A dreary Friday is setting the tone for what the May long weekend will look like, weather-wise.
However, Friday, May 16th will be the worst of what is to come, with clouds, intermittent showers and a bleak high of 15°C throughout the Greater Victoria region. The overnight low on Friday night will be 10°C with showers continuing through the evening.
Saturday’s weather is a slight upgrade from Friday’s dreariness, with Environment Canada forecasting a high of 15°C.
However, Saturday will continue to see some rain in the Victoria area, with a 30% chance of showers through the day. At night the rain will clear up, but the predicted low will fall to a weekend-low of 9°C.
On Sunday, Victoria residents will get the best of what the weekend has to offer with a slightly cloudy day and a predicted high of 16°C. The overnight low will be 8°C and some showers will likely return to the region.
On Victoria Day, which lands on Monday, some showers will return to Victoria.
Though it may be rainy, on Monday, May 19th, the 125th annual Victoria Day Parade will take place in the downtown area.
The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. and includes 100 floats for this year’s milestone event.

The rain is expected to clear once the long weekend is through, but the week is still predicted to be mostly cloudy with some sun poking out only here and there.
Between Tuesday and Thursday, the highs in Victoria will hover around 16°C and 17°C, while the lows will be around 8°C and 9°C.
