Heads up, ferry travellers!

If you’re planning to take the Brentwood Bay–Mill Bay route on Tuesday, May 27th, a few midday sailings will be cancelled to allow for essential Transport Canada training exercises.

In a media release, BC Ferries said there will be four total sailings cancelled that day, including two late-morning and two early-afternoon departures.

Cancelled sailings are as follows:

  • 11 a.m. departing Brentwood Bay
  • 11:35 a.m. departing Mill Bay
  • 1:15 p.m. departing Brentwood Bay
  • 1:50 p.m. departing Mill Bay

Service is expected to return to normal outside of the affected times, so make sure to plan accordingly.

These cancellations are part of required drills to ensure crews are fully trained and certified, which BC Ferries notes is critical to keeping their operations safe and reliable.
