Wendy’s celebrates 50 years in Canada with 99-cent fries this spring

Wendy’s is celebrating its golden anniversary in Canada the best way possible—with fries. And not just any fries—local, crispy, and now just 99 cents for a medium order.

From now through May 18th, Wendy’s is offering medium Hot & Crispy Fries for just $0.99—no catch, no other purchase needed.

It’s their way of saying thanks for 50 years of Canadian support, and yes, you can grab it in-store or online.

And if you didn’t already know, those fries you’re dipping into ketchup? They’re about as Canadian as it gets.

Wendy’s sources over 45 million pounds of potatoes from across Canada every year—from Prince Edward Island to Southern Alberta to New Brunswick.

The fries and seasoned breakfast potatoes are made with more than 10 varieties of Canadian-grown spuds, carefully cut to strike that ideal balance of crispy-on-the-outside and fluffy-on-the-inside.

They even tested 20 different fry shapes before landing on the one we know and love today. So yeah, some serious R&D went into your drive-thru side order.

No app? No problem. Just swing by your local Wendy’s, grab some fries for under a buck, and enjoy a little slice of Canadian farmland—hot and fresh.

Heads up: offer available at participating locations only. Topped fries and breakfast potatoes not included, and it doesn’t apply to delivery apps. But otherwise, you’re good to go.
