Suspect sought after allegedly attempting to rob TD bank in Oak Bay last week

Oak Bay Police are investigating an incident in which a man attempted to rob the TD Canada Trust bank located in the 2000-block of Cadboro Bay Road. 

Police say that on April 22nd, a male suspect, who was wearing a black cloak and sunglasses, attempted to rob the bank, but no cash or items were taken.

Additionally, police say that the suspect did not produce any weapons through the attempted robbery. 

Following the alleged attempt to rob the bank, the suspect reportedly fled on foot, east along Cadboro Bay Road.

In addition to Oak Bay Police attending the scene, numerous police units from Saanich Police, VicPD and the Integrated Canine Service responded to assist. 

The suspect was gone by the time police arrived, but Oak Bay Police found CCTV footage with the man they believe to be the suspect.

Police say they have yet to identify the suspect based on the photo and are now turning to the public for assistance.
