One person was taken to hospital after a stabbing incident on Quadra Street late Saturday afternoon.
In a media release, Saanich Police say officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the 3300-block of Quadra Street around 4:30 p.m. on February 1st. When they arrived, they found a person suffering from an apparent stab wound.
Emergency responders provided medical assistance on scene before transporting the victim to hospital. Police say the injury is not considered life-threatening.
A suspect was arrested at the scene and later released on conditions.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing risk to the public. Police say they anticipate recommending a charge of aggravated assault.
