Saanich Police continue search for 64-year-old man with dementia

Saanich Police are seeking aid from the public to locate a 64-year-old man who was reported missing on Saturday, November 24th.

The missing man’s name is Christian, and police say they are concerned for him as he has medical needs and suffers from dementia.

When initially reported missing, Christian was believed to be travelling on foot and is known to frequent areas in Saanich and Esquimalt, including along the Lochside Trail.

Police describe Christian as a Caucasian man, standing 5’6” tall with a medium build. He has blue eyes, shaggy brown hair and a grey goatee.

At the time he went missing, Christian was wearing black winter jacket with hood, white lining, and Cleveland Browns NFL logo on front left side, blue jeans, white sneakers and a baseball cap. 

He was also carrying a black Reebok backpack with a purple coloured pattern.

Anyone with information on Christian’s whereabouts should contact Saanich Police at (250) 475-4321.

Those who see Christian are being asked to stay with him or keep him in sight and call 911 immediately.
