Missing 67-year-old Cowichan Bay man located deceased

UPDATE: RCMP have confirmed that William Sampson, 67, who was last seen on Sunday, has been found deceased.

Police said that the cause of death is not considered suspicious.

“The RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” stated Corporal Alex Bérubé of the BC RCMP.

Out of respect for the family’s request for privacy, police have stated that no further information will be released at this time.

Lake Cowichan RCMP are asking the public’s help in locating a missing 67-year-old man.

William Sampson was last seen on Sunday, November 10th in Cowichan Bay, and was reported missing later that day. 

He is believed to be driving a 2014 grey Dodge Ram pickup truck with BC licence plate NJ6 802.

Sampson is described as standing at 5’11” tall, weighing 210 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes. 

Both police and his family are said to be concerned for his health and well-being.
