Cruise sweet cruise: This week welcomes 12 cruise ships into Victoria harbour

Welcome to another sunny week in June, Victoria!

From this morning, June 10th to Sunday, June 16th, we’ll see a total of 12 cruise ships coast into our harbour and fill the downtown core with excited tourists. 

That’s approximately 37,351 across these 12 ships, all hoping to stop and shop, therefore boosting our local economy!

The Queen Elizabeth cruise ship kicked us off this week, arriving at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, with just over 2,000 passengers. 

Carnival Spirit will follow close behind, arriving Monday evening at around 8 p.m. with 2,124 people.

The cruise ships to follow are as such:

• Wednesday, June 12th at 8 p.m.: Carnival Luminosa with 2,260 passengers
• Thursday, June 13th at 11 a.m.: Ovation of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
• Thursday, June 13th at 5:30 p.m.: Celebrity Edge with 2,918 passengers
• Friday, June 14th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Bliss with 4,250 passengers
• Friday, June 14th at 8 p.m.: Eurodam with 2,104 passengers
• Friday, June 14th at 9 p.m.: Discovery Princess with 3,360 passengers
• Saturday, June 15th at 7 p.m.: Majestic Princess with 3,560 passengers
• Saturday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Encore with 3,998 passengers
• Sunday, June 16th at 5 p.m.: Quantum of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
• Sunday, June 16th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Sun with 1,936 passengers

Although the Norwegian Sun is one of the smaller vessels in the Norwegian line, it certainly doesn’t lack in entertainment, relaxation, or top-notch dining options. 

Plus, it underwent a three week refurbishment from bow to stern in 2021 right here in Victoria, bringing guests plenty of new features, upgraded favourites and other enhancements as part of The Norwegian Edge program.
