Another fake nurse has been caught trying to work in BC hospitals

The BC College of Nurses and Midwives has issued a public advisory after it learned of an individual posing as a registered nurse in an attempt to secure employment in the province.

Charrybelle Talaue, the individual in question, has been falsely representing herself as a registered nurse. However, the professional regulator of nurses has clarified that Talaue is not registered under their jurisdiction, rendering her ineligible to practice as a nurse.

The concerning aspect of this situation is the use of multiple aliases by Talaue.

She is known to operate under various names, such as Charrybelle Perez Talaue, Charrybelle Talaue Baldesancho, Belle Talaue, Belle Marie, Charrybelle Baldesancho, and Charie Talaue.

Additionally, Talaue may be using the name of an actual registrant, Yves Anglehart. She has used aliases such as Belle Yves Talaue Anglehart or Yves Belle Anglehart.

The BC College of Nurses and Midwives has strongly advised healthcare employers to verify the registration status of any applicants seeking roles as registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, or midwives.

The public advisory, unfortunately, lacks specific information regarding the hospitals to which Talaue applied for employment, the number of applications she submitted, and the methods by which her deceptive actions came to light.

This incident comes follows the high profile arrest of Brigitte Cleroux in 2021, a serial imposter who fraudulently posed as a perioperative nurse at BC Women’s Hospital for an entire year.

Cleroux is presently grappling with a total of 17 criminal charges, including accusations of assaulting 10 patients during her tenure at BC Women’s Hospital.

Additionally, she faces charges of impersonation and fraud against a dental surgeon in Surrey, as well as fraud and assault-related charges linked to her employment at a private surgery clinic in the Victoria area.
