Walk for a good cause!
On Thursday, October 19th, join Victoria Buzz’s Nicole Bentham for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Night Light Walk.
Together with family, friends, and neighbours, Bentham will be there to guide everyone through this magical night of awareness and fundraising for victims of domestic violence.
“I’m honoured that Royal LePage Shelter Foundation has asked me to be a part of their first-ever Night Light Walk,” said Bentham, Sales & Promotions Director at Victoria Buzz.
“Raising awareness of domestic violence is so crucial, and this is the perfect event to shed light on this important issue, all while supporting the victims who need it most.”
Participants will first gather at the Esquimalt Gorge Park Pavilion and get the chance to listen to inspiring stories from survivors of abuse.
Once the speakers have shared their stories, the three kilometer walk through the community will begin—a united walk in the light to show support for those affected by domestic violence.
Everyone who walks will receive a Royal LePage Shelter Foundation Night Light Walk Knit Hat and LED bracelet.

If you wish to donate to the cause, you can do so at Bentham’s donation page.
All of the funds raised will be sent to The Cridge Centre for the Family—whose aim is to give women and children support as they take first steps away from domestic violence.
The Cridge Centre’s mission is to assist women and children who have experienced family violence and abuse move from crisis and instability to self-sufficiency, personal safety and stability.
They provide support programs such as transitional housing, counselling, support groups, and access to other community services.
If you would like to get involved, you can sign up to volunteer here.
