Another win for Victoria!

Cities from across the globe were considered for the Condé Nast Traveler’s 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards regarding a number of different destination hotspots, hotels, resorts and more.

Among the categories was a list for the friendliest cities in the world, and the results are promising!

A grand total of four Canadian cities have secured themselves a spot on this list—of which Victoria took third with a score of 95.51.

Ahead of Victoria—but only by a small margin—was Edmonton in #2 with a 95.71 and Calgary winning the #1 spot with a 97.86! Quebec City landed #5 with a score of 94.92.

Other cities mentioned included Malaga, Spain, Izmir, Turkey, and Cartagena, Colombia!

Victoria placed third because of its ‘exceptionally friendly folks’—attributing these qualities to our chillaxed atmosphere, charm, and its close proximity to the great outdoors!

Not to mention, it’s considered the less hectic version of Vancouver, which helped Victoria secure their position.
