There’s a devilish burlesque and drag show coming to Victoria this October

There’s no better time than Scary Season to indulge in the darker side of life.

This October, Pandora’s Box Cabaret will lean into temptation and present two nights of a sin-filled production at one of Victoria’s most historic venues.

Dance with the Devil — Reap what you sow will bring the wretched tale of the seven deadly sins to the Alix Goolden Hall on October 16th and 17th, bringing seduction and wicked pleasure to the more than 100-year-old church’s halls.

This year will mark the second rendition of the production, flipping the script on last year’s performance, which asked the question “who is in Hell, and do they deserve their fate?” asking instead this year, “who is on Earth, and do they deserve to be in Hell?”

Hosted by the Devil himself, the show will blend burlesque, drag, and dance into a wicked night of variety performances.

Pandora’s Box performers will bring each of the deadly sins to life, revealing new temptations and torments at every stage of the performance.

The show is written, created, and produced by Duchess St. Claire, founder of Pandora’s Box Cabaret and legend in the Victoria burlesque scene.

Alix Goolden Hall, located in a church built in 1890, offers a fitting backdrop for the event, with audiences seated on the original church pews.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, with five guests per pew.

A Midnight Society Macabre-themed dress code is encouraged for the event, with red and black, elegant mourning shrouds, and witchy couture among the suggested attire.

There will also be a full bar, offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

There is a range of ticketing options available, with VIP tickets offering a full pew in the front two rows and limited-time “Misery Loves Company” tickets offering two tickets at a discounted rate.

Remaining tickets start at $50 and can be purchased for the Friday show here and for the Saturday show here—don’t wait, early bird tickets are already sold out!
