Sidney’s coziest craft market returns this October with over 60 local vendors

There’s no time like October for getting cozy and crafty!

The popular Crafted Farmhouse Market is returning to Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre this October for another weekend of local shopping, handmade treasures and family-friendly fun.

On Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th, more than 60 artisan vendors will fill  the venue for a weekend featuring live music, artisan vendors, youth makers, sweet treats and more!

For just $5 admission, guests can browse dozens of local vendors, including some Vancouver Island favourites such as Stitch by Adria, The Felt Florist, tal-glow skincare, Rose McGrath Creations and Zaworski Art and Homestead, among dozens of others.

It’s a family-friendly event, too, with kids under 12 receiving free admission, and Elsa and Spider-Man making appearances at the market from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon!

For those who arrive early, the Crafted Farmhouse Market will be offering free swag bags to the first 10 people through the doors on each day. An additional swag bag will be given to each 25th customer throughout the weekend.

Each paid admission includes an entry into  a prize draw for a gift basket full of vendor goodies!

On Friday evening, Hoyne Brewing will host a Sip and Shop, and the venue’s courtyard will also feature food trucks all weekend long, including Wheelin’ Crust, Churros + Mor and Greek on the Street on Friday, and The Bannock Room, Greek on the Street and Island Monkey Cafe  on Saturday.

To pair with a weekend of shopping, the event will also feature live music throughout both days.

Anneda and Peter McMaster will take to the stage on Friday, while Saturday will feature Anneda, Peter Mcmaster as well as Todd Forsbloom to round out the weekend.

Organizers say that the market tends to get busy in the morning, so those who prefer a quieter atmosphere should consider attending later in the day.

For the last hour of the event on each day, admission is offered at a two-for-one discount!
