Music Bingo Fundraiser for Victoria Women’s Transition House at the Fernwood Inn
Enjoy a night of music, laughter and fun; all for a great cause!
Music Bingo at the historic Fernwood Inn will be supporting the Victoria Women’s Transition House’s Giving Shelter Campaign.
Everyone is welcome to attend, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the Victoria Women’s Transition House, who provide housing and resources to women and their children fleeing intimate partner violence.

Free backyard concert with sipsiptea
Catch a free backyard show at sipsiptea!
These backyard concerts have been gaining momentum in the city, with their last show featuring Arrian Ciel on September 23rd.
This show will have Kaia Jai hit the stage for another free performance this Wednesday.
Jai is a Victoria-based singer-songwriter who, with the guitar, will be bringing a laid-back concert atmosphere to the venue’s backyard.
Sipsiptea will also be selling drinks inspired by the artist.
This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Poetry Reading with Tim Lilburn and Jeremy Loveday at Munro’s Books
Head to Munro’s for a wonderful night of poetry, featuring award-winning authors Tim Lilburn and Jeremy Loveday!
Lilburn’s poetry collection, The Volcano’s High Held Snow Note, is preoccupied with a small mountain called SṈAḴE (Snow Mountain) in the language of the W̱SÁNEĆ people on the Saanich Peninsula and the Gulf Islands.
Maybe the Starling, the debut full-length collection from poet and dynamic spoken word performer Loveday, invites attendees to explore the intersections of crisis and care, grief and joy—a testament to poetry’s power to ignite change and nurture the human spirit.

Wild Horizons – Cascadia Strings at The Coda
Formed in 2015, the award-winning Cascadia Strings is an initiative to bring diverse and engaging chamber music repertoire to all audiences, fusing together iconic original works with well-crafted arrangements of popular music of the last century, all in the vision to bring live, meaningful musical experiences to new venues and music-lovers in Victoria and beyond.
As a passionate concert curator, Kathryn Wiebe, founder, programs shows with thoughtful content, cross-genre repertoire, with a result that is touching and powerful to audience members, regardless of demographics.
This concert features Victoria-based Musicians, Tyson Doknjas and Jeremy Potts (Violins), Jessica Pickersgill (Violas), and Vancouver’s Yu Yu Liu (Cello).
These are graduates of conservatories and schools, such as University of Victoria, The Juilliard School, Eastman School of Music, the New England Conservatory of Music, to name a few.
Attendees may recognize this talented bunch from orchestras and ensembles such as Victoria Symphony, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Candlelight Concerts and more.
