Ready for some scary movies, Victoria?

This Wednesday, Cinecenta is embracing scary season with a screening of The Shining, and The Roxy Theatre is celebrating local filmmakers with some screenings of short horror films from locals.

If that’s too scary for you, catch a show at The Capital Ballroom, the Jazz Jam at The Coda or a discussion with an author put on by Munro’s!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Wednesday, October 21st:

Meltt at Capital Ballroom

Meltt’s upcoming third album is the culmination of everything the Vancouver indie-pop quartet have accomplished so far, all the while pushing their sound in new and exciting directions.

True to its title, Pathways finds Chris Smith, Jamie Turner, James Porter and Ian Winkler at multiple forks in the road and deciding to take all of them, submerging their sound in new rippling textures while still retaining the warm, textured glow that their music’s contained since their debut EP Visions in 2017.

Meltt will be supported by Vancouver-based artist Old Man Canyon.

Catch the show at Capital Ballroom!
