Cineplex to offer $5 movies and popcorn in Victoria this Labour Day Weekend

Share

Up for a movie this long weekend?

On Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th, Cineplex locations across the country will be offering $5 movies and $5 small bags of popcorn for the company’s $5 Weekend.

The weekend is a great opportunity to catch a flick with the family before the school season starts.

The $5 tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, September 2nd, meaning theatre-goers will be able to purchase their tickets early to make sure they get a seat in what is bound to be a busy theatre weekend. Ticket prices do not include tax, and an added $1.50 online booking fee is added to tickets purchased online.

While premium seating, such as D-BOX seats, do not come with the $5 price tag, a regular ticket can be upgraded.

As an added bonus, the $5 Weekend is put on for a good cause.

A portion of proceeds from the weekend will go to the Canadian Picture Pioneers, an organization dedicated to supporting members of Canada’s motion picture industry through financial assistance and educational programs since 1940.

There are two Cineplex locations in Greater Victoria, located downtown at 780 Yates Street and at Tillicum Mall at 3130 Tillicum Road.
