The Victoria Shamrocks are four wins away from earning a trip to the Mann Cup.
Victoria will face the Coquitlam Adanacs in the best-of-seven WLA Championship Series, beginning Saturday, August 15th at the Q Centre.
The Shamrocks enter the final after finishing first overall during the regular season with a dominant 16-2 record, giving the team home-floor advantage throughout the playoffs.
Coquitlam finished third at 12-6 before defeating the Maple Ridge Burrards in a five-game opening-round series.
Victoria also swept all three regular-season meetings between the two teams.
The Shamrocks opened their season with a 9-4 victory over the Adanacs in front of a sold-out crowd at the Q Centre on May 22nd. They followed that with an 11-8 road win on June 13th and completed the season sweep with a 12-8 victory at home on July 17th.
Despite those results, the championship series brings a fresh start for two teams that were among the strongest defensive clubs in the league.
Victoria finished the regular season with both the most goals scored and the fewest goals allowed in the WLA, while Coquitlam ranked second in goals against.
The series will also feature two of the league’s top goaltenders.
Shamrocks goaltender Chris Origlieri was recently named the WLA’s Outstanding Goaltender for the 2026 season. Origlieri and Coquitlam’s Christian Del Bianco finished first and second in the league in goals-against average and save percentage.
Victoria’s offence was led by Zach Manns, who finished the regular season with 90 points, and captain Marshal King, who recorded 76 points.
Coquitlam’s Adam Noakes has been one of the league’s top postseason performers and currently leads all WLA players with 17 playoff points.
Special teams could also play a major role in the series.
The Shamrocks finished the regular season with the WLA’s top power play, converting on 42.7% of their opportunities. Coquitlam ranked sixth at 25.7% , although the Adanacs have improved to approximately 32% during the playoffs.
The winner of the series will be crowned WLA champion and advance to face the Major Series Lacrosse champion from Ontario in the Mann Cup.
