Search continues for 25-year-old hiker missing in Strathcona Provincial Park

A coordinated search is continuing for a 25-year-old man who went missing while hiking in Strathcona Provincial Park earlier this week.

Keshav Jindal was reported missing on Monday, August 3rd, after becoming separated from his group that afternoon in the Paradise Meadows and Mount Albert Edward area.

Comox Valley Search and Rescue said teams from across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland are assisting with the search on Wednesday.

“Thank you to all of the search and rescue teams, partner agencies and volunteers who have come together through mutual aid to support this search,” the organization said.

Jindal is described as standing 5’7″ tall and approximately 153 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police and his family are concerned for his health and well-being.

Anyone who was in the Paradise Meadows, Mount Washington or Mount Albert Edward area on Monday and may have seen Jindal is asked to contact police.
